MileSwipe Privacy Policy

MileSwipe is a mileage log that runs entirely on your iPhone. We do not operate servers for the app, we do not run analytics or advertising, and we never receive your data.

What the app records

• Location. With your permission, MileSwipe uses your iPhone's location, including in the background, to detect when a drive starts and ends and to measure its distance and route.
• Motion. With your permission, Motion & Fitness data helps the app tell driving from walking so tracking starts and stops on its own.
• Drives, places, vehicles, rules and settings that you create or confirm in the app.

Where it is stored

Everything is stored on your device. If you turn on iCloud sync in Settings, the same data is also stored in your personal iCloud account using Apple's CloudKit, in a private database that only your Apple Account can access. Snizyx Software LLC cannot read it. Apple's handling of iCloud data is described in Apple's privacy policy.

What leaves your device

• To name the places where drives start and end, the app sends those coordinates to Apple's geocoding service, which is part of iOS. Apple processes these requests under Apple's privacy policy.
• With iCloud sync on, your data is synchronized through Apple's iCloud as described above.
• Nothing else. The app makes no other network requests and includes no third-party SDKs.

Notifications

If you allow notifications, the app shows a local notification after each drive with buttons to classify it. These notifications are generated on your device.

Your control

• Turn location, motion or notification access off at any time in iOS Settings; the app explains what stops working.
• Export all of your data as CSV and JSON from Settings.
• Delete all data from Settings › Delete all data. If iCloud sync is on, the deletion propagates to your iCloud data as well.

Children

MileSwipe is not directed at children under 13 and collects no personal information from anyone.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted at this address with a new effective date.
